Emil Khodorkovsky immigrated to United States at the age of 10 to Harrisburg, PA. He attended Penn State University and then Cal State North-ridge for Finance and Real Estate. In 2001 he started his career in an entry level position at a mortgage company. He quickly advanced in the company and became a partner at the firm. During that time, he began investing in real estate through private trust deeds, acquisition of performing and non-performing debt, as well as real estate. In 2011 he started Forbix and established a commercial mortgage bank, a direct lending platform for private debt, and an acquisition and development arm, all under one roof.
He has vast knowledge in the areas of real estate finance, asset management, construction and has acted as a court appointed receiver for real estate properties in California. Clients value his advice in real estate related matters including 1031 exchanges, multi-family developments, CMBS financing, and FHA Apartment and Construction financing.
It is his unique background in both lending and real estate investment that has proven to be invaluable to his clients. Whether he is talking to a client about their first commercial investment or a seasoned developer, he gives everyone the same attention.
He lives in the San Fernando Valley with his wife and son and founded a non-profit organization to foster entrepreneurship among kids.
Ron Ross began his career on Wall Street at Merrill Lynch where at the age of 23 he obtained his General Securities and Commodity Broker licenses. He later formed a non-bank dealer where his firm was a market maker in the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market with weekly transactional volume in excess of $1 Billion.
Ron has over 25 years of experience in trading equity and interest rate derivative products. In 2001, he transitioned his knowledge of finance into real estate and mortgage banking. His real estate experience spans that of new development, acquiring and repositioning of distressed properties, and asset management.
In 2011, Ron co-founded Forbix Financial, an FHA Title II lender. He has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Pepperdine University.
